Building Biologist

Alison Parker is the passionate founder of Wave Building Biology, a business dedicated to helping families and individuals create healthier homes by uncovering and addressing hidden environmental hazards. Her journey began in 2012, while pregnant with her first child, when a book about toxins in the home sparked a life-changing realisation: our everyday environments can profoundly impact our wellbeing.

With a background as an Exercise Physiologist, secondary school health educator, and elite endurance motorcyclist, Alison once considered herself the picture of health. But her discovery of the effects of mould, chemicals, and electromagnetic fields (EMFs) revealed the unseen challenges that many households unknowingly face. This inspired her to become a certified Building Biologist and establish Wave Building Biology, serving the Mid North Coast and beyond.

Today, Alison’s work is driven by her commitment to wellness, science-backed solutions, and a deep care for community. She offers thorough home assessments and practical advice to help people live cleaner, healthier lives—because she truly believes that optimal health begins at home.

At the event, Alison will share her knowledge of everyday toxins and demonstrate the impact of mobile phones, smartwatches, and other devices using her EMF checker.
